For introverts out there who love reading at the library, it is now possible to sit inside libraries to have a quiet read.
My introverted child and I visited the Woodlands Regional Library one Saturday evening. We were pleasantly surprised to realise that not only could we now read inside the library, but were also comforted to see that the armchairs and seats were spaced apart to adhere to social distancing measures.
Across the four floors of the library, you can take your pick of armchairs, single seated sofas, padded benches enclosed for a bay window feel, and study desks with power sockets for laptops and studying.
On the fourth floor, there are child-friendly areas designed in welcoming colours, such as a green patch under a tree. At the "Calm Down to the Library" space, there are a couple of wooden huts that your kids will love reading in.
If you're looking for a fuss-free way to spend a quiet evening without blowing a hole in your pocket, visit the Woodlands Regional Library.
